Industry professionals connected to Oswald Morgan all stop to review his Facebook posts when aptly titled, “Yep Yep.”
Morgan’s reputation as “Mr. Hospitality” began in New York, long before he established himself in Atlanta in 1994. As rooted as he has been in the hospitality culture, I myself have reached out to him for mentorship.

I recognized the distinct differences between our temperaments immediately, I was somewhat frustrated around some of the challenges the industry posed to me; and then there was Oswald. There was an assuredness that came across throughout the call, as he asked questions and offered insight. A steely calmness that remained clear and focused on the task at hand. So this rookie took the outcomes from the call and moved forward with that same sense of calm.
It’s no wonder that we all pause to read what he had to say; whether posting about recent restaurant legislation passed within the city limits of Atlanta or that a colleague had opened up a restaurant in Mobile, Alabama. If Oswald gave it the “Yep, Yep“ we knew that it was newsworthy.
One is always left to infer and ascertain the information on one’s own, but most industry cats know that the information he passes along is positive, encouraging, intriguing, and exciting.
With just six letters, no formal website or blog; this veteran restaurateur has inspired his audience to learn more about the hospitality industry and keep us connected and engaged!
It’s the “Yep Yep” for me.
